A short acoustic ditty about renting a bedsit on the NCR in Dublin, Ireland purely for the purpose of saving money...

There's some woodlice crawling 'round my bathroom
Trying to make it a kingdom of theirs
And the damp between the wall and the ceiling
Looks like it's been there for hundreds of years
The two upstairs are at it again
I hope the guy has covered his ears
Her banshee wailing's goin thru my head
God I've gotta get outta here
Gotta get outta here

Verse 2
The washer-dryers outside my door
They never ever seem to be off
They spin into infinity and back
I don't sleep well and I don't sleep a lot
I only took this place to save money
And pay off all my arrears
Now that's done and the pressure's gone
God I've gotta get outta here
Gotta get outta here

And find some other place
Where I can stay and stretch my legs
Go and find some other place

Verse 3
Landlord says that I've been a good tenant
And I should get my deposit back
Didn't tell him about the mark in the carpet
In the shape of the iron's face
Could have been worse could have lived in a cardboard
Box in some back-end street
But all in all I've had enough of this place
God I've gotta get outta here
Gotta get outta here
